Don’t miss the Rotary Club of Lititz’s last Travelogue of the season, highlighting one of the most visually stunning countries in all of Africa!

On Saturday, May 25, the Rotary Club’s Travel & Adventure Film Series will offer two showings of “The Road to Namibia” by award-winning cinematographer, writer, editor, and director Rick Ray. Sitting on the west coast north of South Africa and east of Botswana, Namibia is, according to Ray, poised to become the “next big thing” tourist destination for world travel. The safari tour will enable viewers to journey to Cape Town, South Africa, with a full excursion around the beautiful city, and then will journey north into the deserts, wild coastline, and safari parks of Namibia. The film highlights two world-class wildlife reserves, featuring never before seen aerials of vast wildlife herds on the move as well as leopards, lions, elephants, rhinos, and more arriving at watering holes. The journey also includes breathtaking views of the famed Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River.

The Travelogue presentation will be held on Saturday, May 25, at Grace Church, 501 W. Lincoln Avenue, Lititz. There will be two performances – a matinee at 2:00 p.m. and an evening at 7:00 p.m. with a musical prelude beginning a half-hour before each performance.

General admission tickets are sold at the door at a cost of $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children.  For more information, contact Dean Brandt, 756 Rothsville Road, Lititz, PA  17543, by phone at 717.413.0780.  We welcome not only our past patrons but anyone who would enjoy a relaxing and entertaining presentation of lands, life, and culture in distant places. For nearly 60 years, the Travelogue series has helped to provide funds to local non-profit service groups, as well as providing college loans and scholarships to many local students.  Some of the locally supported groups include four local fire companies, Warwick Ambulance Association, Warwick/Lititz Community Chest, Lititz Historical Foundation, Lititz Public Library, Lititz recCenter, and Lititz Springs Park. Those who attend our Travelogue Series help us to continue these important community service efforts.
