Photo by Barry Miller.The Lititz Rotary Club is proud to recognize Kitana Lord, a senior at Warwick High School, as its Student of the Month for April 2025. Kitana was honored during a dinner held at the Lititz Springs Inn & Spa (General Sutter) on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
The daughter of Tiffany and Todd Lord, Kitana resides in Lititz, PA, and exemplifies academic excellence, community engagement, and leadership across numerous activities.
Kitana has consistently earned Distinguished Honor Roll status throughout all four years of high school and is a proud member of both the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society.
In addition to her academic achievements, Kitana is highly involved in the Warwick music program. She plays violin in the school orchestra and the String Synergy ensemble, performing at community events like the Food Truck Fest. She also sings as a soprano in both the Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, and participated in the Warwick Marching Band’s show this year, playing vibraphone in the Pit.
Her commitment to service is equally impressive. She volunteered her time over the summer at both the Lititz Public Library and the Lancaster Evangelical Library and Archives. At Warwick High School, she serves as a teacher assistant for the librarian, Mrs. Stump, and helps at the middle school library with Mrs. Schweigart. She also tutors fellow students in viola.
Kitana works part-time as a grocery associate at Weis Markets, balancing her job with a full academic and extracurricular schedule.
Beyond the classroom and stage, Kitana takes on several leadership roles. She is President of the Debate Club, Secretary of the History Club, and a dedicated member of Link Crew, a mentorship program helping freshmen transition to high school life.
This fall, Kitana will attend American University in Washington, D.C., where she plans to major in History as part of the AU Honors Program. With a long-standing passion for early American history, Kitana aspires to become an archivist, ideally working in Washington, D.C.
When not immersed in her many activities, Kitana enjoys reading, playing the violin, and spending time with her family. Her curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, and dedication to service make her an outstanding representative of Warwick High School and a deserving recipient of this honor.
