he Lititz Rotary Club recognized Ansh Dwivedi as Student of the Month at their regular meeting on March 18, 2025, held at the Lititz Springs Inn & Spa. Ansh, a senior at Warwick High School, is the son of Sandhya and Satish Dwivedi.

Ansh is an outstanding student with a strong passion for STEM, earning numerous academic accolades throughout high school. Most recently, he was named Grand Champion at the North Museum Science and Engineering Fair (NMSEF) and will advance to the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in May. His achievements in science and chemistry include the Senior Excellence Award at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science, first place in the physics category at both the NMSEF and Warwick Science Fair in 10th grade, and four Science Olympiad medals from grades 9 through 11.

Additionally, Ansh was awarded a first-place Auxiliary Award from the American Chemical Society (ACS) for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Section at NMSEF. He was also a national qualifier for the ACS Chemistry Olympiad in 11th grade and was nominated as Warwick’s highest-achieving chemistry student, earning an invitation to a recognition banquet in April.

Beyond his academic success, Ansh is a leader in various honor societies. He is the President of Warwick’s Computer Science Honor Society (CSHS) and a member of both the National Honor Society (NHS) and Science National Honor Society (SNHS). He has also consistently earned recognition on the Distinguished Honor Roll since 9th grade.

In addition to his academic and extracurricular achievements, Ansh is an avid athlete. He has been a member of the Warwick Boys Tennis Team since his sophomore year and currently serves as team captain. His leadership on the court reflects his dedication, teamwork, and commitment to excellence both in academics and athletics.

Ansh is also dedicated to mentoring and helping others develop their academic skills. He currently works as a center assistant at Kumon, where he tutors elementary and middle school students in math and English. Additionally, he serves as a Teacher’s Assistant (TA) for Mr. Balmer’s AP Chemistry class, furthering his passion for STEM education.

In the fall, Ansh will be attending Cornell University to study chemical engineering. He is excited to continue exploring his interests in STEM while also giving back by inspiring and supporting future students.

The Lititz Rotary Club recognized Manuel Haloua as Student of the Month at their regular meeting on January 21, 2025, held at the Lititz Springs Inn & Spa. Manuel, a senior at Warwick High School, is the son of Gabriela Martinez and Andreas Haloua. His brother, Tomas, a 9th-grade student at Warwick, was also in attendance to celebrate his recognition.

Manuel is an accomplished student who has earned recognition on the Distinguished Honor Roll throughout high school. He is a member of the National Honor Society and currently serves as Membership Chair for the organization. He is also a founding member and Vice President of the Computer Science Honor Society and serves as Treasurer of the History Club.

Manuel’s academic talents extend beyond Warwick. In 2023, he placed third in the Senior Division Category for Chemistry and Materials Science at the North Museum Science & Engineering Fair, showcasing his dedication to science and innovation.

Manuel is deeply involved in community service through the National Honor Society. His volunteer work includes supporting the Special Olympics and spending time with senior citizens at Luther Acres and Moravian Manor retirement communities. These activities reflect his commitment to giving back to the community and building meaningful connections.

In addition to his academic and service accomplishments, Manuel is a member of the Warwick Tennis Team and an avid soccer fan. One of his most memorable experiences was attending the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with his father, a particularly special event as his parents are of Argentinian heritage, where soccer is celebrated as the national sport.

Manuel also balances his studies and extracurricular activities with work experience. He has worked at Giant food market and is currently a host at Fiorentino’s.

Looking ahead, Manuel hopes to attend either Penn State University or the University of Michigan to study Computer Science. He has a strong interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and aspires to build a career in this cutting-edge field.

The Lititz Rotary Club is proud to honor Manuel Haloua as Student of the Month for his academic achievements, leadership, and dedication to his school and community.

The Lititz Rotary Club recognized Payton Gooding as Student of the Month at their regular meeting on January 23, 2024, held at the Lititz Springs Inn & Spa. Payton is a Warwick High School senior and the daughter of Michelle and Reed Gooding.

Payton is an academic achiever and has demonstrated academic excellence during her time in the Warwick School District. She has earned recognition on the Distinguished Honor Roll each year. Payton’s strong academic efforts have earned her membership in the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Computer Science Honor Society, and the English Honor Society. She also earned first place in the Pennsylvania Media and Art Competition for a digital movie project.

Also at Warwick, Payton has demonstrated strong leadership as President of her class since her freshman year and most recently served as Captain of the Warwick girls soccer team. Payton also had the privilege of being a Teacher's Assistant (TA) for Mrs. Rakiewicz, a broadcasting and English teacher at the high school. Payton expresses great admiration for Mrs. Rakiewicz and is grateful for the lessons learned in broadcasting classes. She is also looking forward to serving as a TA for Mr. Neuman who has influenced Payton to excel in more challenging classes.

Payton is an active volunteer and served as a camp counselor for youth soccer camp during the past two summers. The week-long camp, organized by Warwick, brought together aspiring girl athletes to train with the girls' high school soccer team for two hours each day from Monday to Thursday. She also participated in a Special Olympics Game Day and volunteered at the rubber duckie race for the Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development. During the holidays, Payton helped wrap gifts for families in need. She also volunteers with multiple adopt a highway events.

Over the past three years, Payton gained gained valuable work experience at Philly Pretzel Factory, where she assists customers and developed skills in handle food preparation.

In the future, Payton expects to attend Savannah College of Art and Design and major in film and television. She has a strong interest in the creative realm of the film industry, and aspires to become a movie director or editor and pursue her passion for storytelling and visual arts.

 On October 11, Lititz Rotary present Lyndsey Mackie, Director of Development for the Byrnes Health Education Center in York, with a gift of $2,000 to support their programs. At the meeting, Mackie expressed her gratitude for our Rotary’s long-term commitment and faithful support in providing funding for the center throughout the 25 years of our partnership. She stated that the support Rotary provides is vital to the success of the center.  She also reviewed the many programs, 52 in all, that the center provides for school students.  The Byrnes Health Education Center has a student-centered curriculum which is delivered by the request of partnering school systems.  By the numbers, the Byrnes Health Education Center provides services to 14 counties in Pennsylvania as well as 17 additional US states and four Canadian provinces.  The center recently completed a four million dollar building project which enables it to provide state-of-the-art facilities for accessing instruction.
